Want to know what the City/County of Honolulu is doing to speed up the economic recovery; what will Hawaiian Airlines be doing to make it safe for us to fly again or when will Hawaiian start flying its regular routes again? Our panel, Honolulu Council member Kymberly Pine and Avi Mannis, Senior VP–Marketing at Hawaiian Airlines will fill us in on the latest happenings in both areas and will answer your questions.
Kymberly Pine is the Chair of the Honolulu City Council’s Committee on Business, Economic Development and Tourism. She previously served as Chair of the Committee on Zoning and Housing. Prior to her service on the Honolulu City Council, Kym served four terms in the Hawaiʻi House of Representatives representing ʻEwa Beach, Iroquois Point, and Puʻuloa. From 2010–2012, she served as the House Minority Floor Leader.
Kymberly lives in ʻEwa Beach with her husband Brian, daughter Allie, and puppies Max and Mochi.
Avi Mannis is responsible for Hawaiian Airlines’ brand, product, advertising, and promotions, direct marketing, and direct sales and service channels. Previously, Avi served as Vice President – Marketing from 2011 to 2014, and Vice President of Revenue Management and Schedule Planning from 2008 to 2011. He joined Hawaiian Airlines in July 2007 as Senior Director of Transformation. Prior to Hawaiian Airlines, Avi worked at The Boston Consulting Group in NYC and Paris, and at Christie’s Auction House in NYC. He earned a BA with honors in Old World Archaeology and Art at Brown University and his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Busi-ness.
