Luncheon: The Housing Issues in Hawaii

On Thursday, June 23, 2022, the Professional Women’s Network will welcome Joe Kent, Executive Vice President of the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii.

Joe Kent grew up on the Big Island and attended the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Minnesota State University, where he obtained his degree in education. Joe was a public school teacher for eight years, at King Kamehameha III School in Lahaina, Maui, and Sleepy Eye Public School in Minnesota. He also is a former student fellow at the Foundation for Economic Education.

The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii is a nonprofit policy research organization that seeks to educate people about the values of individual liberty, economic freedom and accountable government. In the spirit of “E hana k ākou” (Let’s work together), it strives to bring Hawaii’s people together to work for a better economy, better governance and a better society.

Attend the in-person meeting on Thursday, June 23rd from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. Invite a guest. Meet Joe Kent and be inspired by his work. Please sign in between 11:30 and noon.

Luncheon meeting: $45 members, $50 guests.
